Citadel SPC Flooring for Demanding Spaces
Citadel is the strongest NextGen Surfaces SPC collection we carry. Its 8mm build, 32 mil wear layer, and wide 9-inch plank make it a smart floor for busy homes and light commercial rooms. The rigid waterproof core helps the floor stay stable when daily life brings spills, wet shoes, pets, rolling chairs, and steady foot traffic.
Why SPC?
SPC means stone plastic composite. Its dense rigid core stays stable and does not absorb common household spills. Choose Citadel when you also want the thickest construction and the most wear protection in this group. The 32 mil surface layer gives the printed wood look a strong shield. The 8mm total build gives the plank a solid feel underfoot in busy homes and light commercial rooms.
A wide plank look
Each Citadel plank is 9 inches wide and 48 inches long. The wider face shows more grain and creates a clean, open look. It can help a large room feel less busy because there are fewer seams across the floor. Ten finish choices range from light oak looks to deep brown tones, so samples should be viewed next to cabinets, trim, and furniture.
100% Waterproof Core
The SPC core will not soak up water like wood fiber. That makes Citadel useful in kitchens, mudrooms, finished basements, and other rooms where spills may happen. Waterproof does not mean a home cannot have a leak. Water under any floating floor can still affect the subfloor, walls, or trim, so spills and leaks should be handled quickly.
Attached Underlay
A 2.0mm IXPE pad is attached to every plank. The pad helps soften footfall and separates the rigid plank from the prepared subfloor. Because it is already attached, there is no loose pad to line up during installation. The subfloor must still be clean, dry, flat, and suitable for the product before the first plank is set.
Durability & Performance
Citadel pairs a premium wear layer with a Limited Residential Lifetime warranty and 30 Years Light Commercial coverage. Warranty terms depend on proper use, care, preparation, and installation. We review the room, moisture conditions, transitions, and product instructions before work begins so the flooring system is planned as a whole.
