Alpine SPC Flooring with a Slimmer Profile
Alpine gives you a 22 mil wear layer in a slimmer 5mm plank. Its lower profile can make planning easier near doorways, appliances, stairs, and rooms that meet another floor. It is the value-minded NextGen Surfaces SPC choice without stepping down to a thin wear layer.
Why SPC?
SPC means stone plastic composite. Its rigid core gives you a stable waterproof plank with a realistic wood look. Choose Alpine when floor height matters or when you want to keep more of the project budget for preparation and installation. The 5mm build is the slimmest of the three collections and can reduce the height change at some doorways and adjoining floors.
Practical style choices
Alpine comes in 12 finishes and uses a 7-inch by 48-inch plank. The size works in small rooms and open layouts without looking too narrow or too wide. The collection includes light, natural, warm, and deeper wood looks. Home samples make it easier to see which grain and color work with the rest of your home.
100% Waterproof Core
The rigid SPC core is made for rooms where spills and wet shoes are part of life. Alpine can work in kitchens, finished basements, living areas, and bedrooms when the surface below is flat, clean, and dry. Waterproof plank construction does not replace leak repair or moisture testing where a slab may have a problem.
Attached Underlay
A 1mm IXPE underlay comes attached to Alpine. The built-in layer makes the floor system simple and removes the need to line up a separate loose pad unless the manufacturer calls for another approved layer. The underlay adds comfort, but it cannot hide dips, humps, or debris. Careful floor preparation protects the click joints.
Durability & Performance
Alpine keeps the same 22 mil wear layer found on Montclair. It carries a Limited Residential Lifetime warranty, 10 Years Commercial coverage, and 16 Years Light Commercial coverage. It is a strong match for normal family use, rentals, and smaller business rooms when the product fits the site conditions.
Plan the right floor height
J&J Flooring checks doors, trim, appliances, stairs, and adjoining floors before installation. We bring Alpine samples to your home and compare the 5mm profile with the thicker Montclair and Citadel options. You get a clear recommendation and an itemized quote without a showroom trip.
