Local carpet & vinyl expertise
Our carpet and vinyl flooring specialists help Cinnaminson homeowners compare materials and plan the right installation for each room.
Flooring for Cinnaminson's '50s and '60s Homes
A lot of Cinnaminson went up in the 1950s and '60s. Think Fountain Farms off Andover Road and Endicott Avenue, or the bigger houses in Rolling Green off Wynwood Drive. Those homes are solid, but plenty of them still have carpet from a couple of owners ago, or a kitchen floor that's been covered over more than once.
Whether you're between Route 130 and the river or closer to the Moorestown line, the questions are pretty much the same: what gets walked on the most, what should feel soft, and what has to handle a wet dog coming in from the yard.
Check What's Under the Old Floor First
Older ranches and split-levels can hide surprises, like sheet vinyl over tile or a plywood patch from an old repair. None of that is a deal-breaker, but it changes the prep, and the prep is what keeps a new floor flat. Where we can, we'll lift a corner on the visit and tell you what we see before you pick anything.
Split-levels also come with short sets of stairs and a few landings. Each one needs a clean transition so nobody catches a toe, so we measure those spots and put them in the quote.
Carpet in the Bedrooms, Plank in the Kitchen
Most families want carpet in the bedrooms and maybe the family room, and something easy to mop in the kitchen, entry, and laundry. Luxury vinyl plank does that job well. The top is water-resistant, it's easier on your feet than tile, and there are plenty of looks that sit nicely next to older trim.
If you're doing a whole level, running one plank through the kitchen, dining room, and hall makes a smaller 1960s floor plan feel more open. We'll lay a few planks down so you can see it before you decide.
How the Estimate Works
We bring samples to the house so you can see them next to your cabinets and your couch. Then we measure, check the stairs and doorways, and write it all up, with material, tear-out, prep and install each on their own line.
If we pull up the old floor and find something, we stop and show you before we do anything extra.
